MOTC QUEENS was founded in 1961 by mothers who shared the common bond of having twins and saw the need to establish a support group in the community.
Our Community Involvement
|
We recently visited the Pediatric Unit of the Flushing Hospital Medical Center with Halloween goody bags and treats. We look forward to our next visit in December. Additionally we were blessed to be able to help out a fellow MOTC MOM and her family struggling with daily expenses while treating her own sudden illness and recovery. Our holiday blessings are with you and all our neighbors throughout this holiday season and the coming year.Supporting each other makes us stronger. Supporting the community makes Queens a better place for our families. Last year, we donated two Dutalier gliders and ottomans to Flushing Hospital Medical Center's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We were able to replace chairs our club donated years ago that has grown old and broken by so many years of use. We are proud to donate to the NICU as it touches families at a happy, yet challenging time, as they care for sick or premature infants. It feels great to donate 'twin' gliders. Two represents our common bond. Whether parents of multiples bond together and with their children, or if two moms share a conversation while rocking, they are experiencing what we share with each other, the bond of family and friends. We couldn't have done this alone. We were generously assisted by family, friends and our local Babies R Us in College Point. Thanks to all our members and supporters who make gifts like these possible.. |
